About This Piece
I created Illusions as part of my Healing Boxes photographic series. After my brother passed away suddenly, I spent many quiet, contemplative hours delicately arranging collected natural and meaningful objects into shallow wooden boxes—honoring him and giving shape to my own grief. I captured each temporary assemblage through photography before taking it apart, preserving a fleeting moment to honor both the fragility and enduring beauty of this life. This open edition print captures every subtle shadow, texture, and detail of that original installation.
