COLLAGE & ASSEMBLAGE
My work in assemblage and collage is a process of reimagining the forgotten. By gathering found objects, weathered papers, and organic fragments, I seek to build new narratives from the remnants of the past. These three-dimensional and layered works are a study in storytelling through texture, where each element is chosen for its history and its ability to harmonize within a modern, nature-inspired composition. This portfolio serves as a chronological journey through my experiments in construction and visual layering.
COLLECTIVE WISDOM (2025)
This series of mixed media collages is a meditation on the quiet power of shared knowledge and the beauty of accumulated experience. Each piece was created using fragments—cutoffs from previous works, remnants that once seemed forgotten. These fragments hold history. By repurposing them, I honor the past, and by layering them with newly explored techniques in acrylic, I step into the present and future.
This interplay of old and new mirrors how we learn: by building on what has come before, while allowing ourselves to evolve and experiment. These collages represent not just the physical layering of materials, but the invisible layering of memory, knowledge, and influence. Each panel becomes a quiet record of what has been gathered - skills, stories, lessons, mistakes, and moments of inspiration.

SEED TILE INSTALLATION (SOLD OUT)
This installation was part of a larger show in 2024 and encompassed 68 small ceramic tiles with eco-prints and cyanotypes encased in encaustic wax. This installation is a culmination of most of the mediums that I have been working with the past few years, representing both the seeds of my own personal growth as well as an honoring the seeds of life. Below is a sampling of the tiles. When I have more available, they will be posted in the shop HERE.
TREE ALTARS
As a child, I had a towering oak outside my bedroom. It felt like my own personal protector. As an adult, I still search out trees when I need to feel grounded. This connection to the trees has always been with me, alongside the conflicting emotions of using such life forms for human consumption.
A powerful narrative emerged as I combined found objects with my photography for this series - a blending of sacred and desecrated. There is both a peaceful reverence and a subtle discomfort created by the wood objects and tools used to surround each central tree image. A visual representation of our complex relationship with the trees.
