Little Wonder is an ongoing series capturing small details of nature. I’m currently focusing on leaves, fungi, and the connected processes of growth and rebirth of the woods. The things you discover about the entire ecosystem of the woods just by spending a great deal of thoughtful time with its smallest components is something I find endlessly inspiring.
All of the pieces in this collection are encaustic. Some are photo-based, while others incorporate eco-printing… a unique process of pulling prints directly from leaves using a steaming or boiling method. To purchase work from this series and others, visit the link below:
