In 2012, I was widowed suddenly at the age of 29. In the years that followed, I created a series of self portraits exploring my grief. Through 40 weekly photos and accompanying essays, 'Still, Life' captures a deeply emotional and psychological journey of what it means to grieve, to heal, and to live on.

A video installation of this series was created as well, which can be viewed further down the page.

In 2017, I collaborated with curator/artist John Wadsworth and musician Steve Roach to create a video installation of the series. This piece was shown in John’s Art of Dying Exhibition in Norfolk, VA (2017).
